Empowering teachers and guiding students to a brighter future.

TEACH. GUIDE. UNITE.

The Marin County Educators Association (MCEA) has a rich history dating back to the 1970s, but its strength as a union has significantly grown in recent years. This growth was particularly evident during the COVID-19 pandemic, when MCEA successfully negotiated a memorandum of understanding focused on protecting educators and the vulnerable populations we serve.

Our first experience at the bargaining table with the Marin County Office of Education occurred in 2021. This pivotal moment empowered our organization and led to our most recent contract achievement, which resulted in a $12,000 raise for every teacher. This significant increase is a testament to the collective efforts of our engaged members and the power of solidarity in advocating for fair compensation.

As we move forward, we are committed to maintaining this momentum. Increased engagement from our members is crucial in continuing to secure fair contracts that benefit both educators and students. We will actively collaborate to implement best practices aimed at recruiting and retaining the most skilled teachers, ensuring that we provide high-quality education to our students in Marin County.

We are Marin County Educators Association and we are union strong.
